Built for the people who run the shows their own way.
Capacity was built by people who spent two decades on the business side of some of the biggest tours in music. We started it to put what we learned where it was missing — in the hands of the people still running live entertainment their own way.
Founder
John Harper
John Harper spent two decades on the business side of live entertainment — as a promoter, operator, and eventually as COO of EMC Presents, Michael Cohl's partnership with Eventim. At EMC, he ran tours for David Gilmour and Genesis, and managed the company's relationship with the Black Promoters Collective (BPC). Earlier in his career, he helped book the Rolling Stones and oversaw touring Broadway productions, large-scale concert events, and The Pink Floyd Exhibition.
He founded Capacity because there's still a version of this business that values the work over the quarterly report — and because the tools and expertise that would keep it that way have been locked inside the biggest companies for too long.

Mission
Increasing the capacity of live entertainment.
It's what the name means. It's why the company exists. Most of the operational depth in this business lives inside the handful of companies big enough to build it for themselves. We spent twenty years inside some of those companies, and we started Capacity to put what we learned back into the hands of everyone else — through fractional leadership, bespoke services, and purpose-built software.
Values
Attention
The details that seem small rarely are. We notice them.
Usefulness
We'd rather build something that works than something that impresses.
Candor
Clear communication, even when the news isn't good.
Taste
Knowing when something is right—and having the patience to get there.
Team
Capacity is a small firm by design. John works with a trusted network of specialists—people he's collaborated with for years across marketing, ticketing, production, legal, and sponsorship. We build each team around the project—bringing in exactly the expertise it needs, nothing more.
