The team is passionate about delivering exceptional live experiences and building lasting relationships with artists, agents, venues, and fans. They are growing rapidly and looking for driven professionals who thrive in the fast-paced world of live entertainment.

Position Overview

The Director of Ticketing is a critical operational role responsible for overseeing all aspects of event ticketing, from initial event builds and scaling through on-sale execution, inventory management, and post-show settlement. This position serves as the primary liaison between the company, ticketing platforms, venues, artist management, and agents on all ticketing matters. The ideal candidate combines deep knowledge of ticketing systems with sharp analytical instincts and the communication skills to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external partners.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Configure event details including manifests, seating plans, price structures, presale access codes, and booking fees.
  • Manage ticket holds for artist management, record labels, sponsors, VIP packages, and internal allocations.

Sales Management & Inventory Optimization

  • Prepare and distribute daily ticket count reports to agents, talent buyers, internal departments, and artist management.
  • Monitor and analyze ticket sales trends to proactively manage inventory, recommend pricing adjustments, and identify opportunities to maximize revenue.
  • Coordinate discount and group ticket programs with third-party platforms and promotional partners.
  • Manage fan-facing presale campaigns, including fan club presales, artist presales, credit card presales, and venue presales.

Operations & Coordination

  • Serve as the primary ticketing point of contact for venues, ticketing platforms, artist management, and agents.
  • Process comp requests, sponsorship ticket orders, in-house orders, and ticket barters.
  • Coordinate will-call and guest list management for all events.
  • Ensure ADA-compliant ticketing practices across all events and venues.
  • Manage and train ticketing staff on procedures for ticket sales, will call, guest lists, and artist comps.
  • Assist with creation of pop-up or temporary box offices for seasonal shows, festivals, and special events.

Reporting & Settlement

  • Compile post-show ticketing reports and reconcile ticket counts for financial settlement with venues, artists, and co-promoters.
  • Maintain accurate records of all ticket transactions, holds, comps, and kills for audit purposes.
  • Analyze event performance data and provide actionable insights to inform future pricing and scaling decisions.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in ticketing operations within the live entertainment, concert promotion, or venue management industry.
  • Proficiency with major ticketing platforms, including Ticketmaster (TM1/Host), AXS, or equivalent systems.
  • Strong understanding of event scaling, pricing strategy, and inventory management in a concert promotion environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with artist management, agents, venue operators, and executive leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate or above), Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event calendar.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Entertainment Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience developing start-up box office operations and ticketing strategies for new venues or touring events.
  • Knowledge of secondary ticketing markets and resale dynamics.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, fan engagement tools, and data-driven marketing strategies as they relate to ticket sales.
  • Experience with festival ticketing operations, including RFID wristbands, camping passes, and multi-day event logistics.

Travel within the greater Los Angeles area is expected; occasional domestic travel may be required for touring events.
